My therapeutic art classes are not the same as art therapy, but they have a positive impact on children and young people, especially those with emotional problems, problems with self-expression and communication. The aim of the project is to facilitate students’ introspection, expression, socialization, strengthening self-esteem, their identity and overall personal development. These classes apply not only to children and adolescents, but also to adults of all ages and with any baggage of life experiences or problems. In class, we also help them deal with sensory, physical and motor problems by teaching various art techniques.
We offer individual sessions for school children, teenagers and adults, weekly classes in small groups at the Mijas Art Center and monthly workshops on intuitive painting for women.
We also organize both indoor and outdoor group workshops as part of rehabilitation for participants of the health retreats.
